Raffa depicts the life and career of Raffaella Carrà, an Italian popstar and TV personality, as told via the words of those who knew her and archival footage. The film reconstructs the public and private life of an uncompromising, ambitious, determined self-made woman who never wanted to reveal too much about herself.
It does this by using archive footage and interviews with celebrities and colleagues but also with people who were by her side for a long time, like her personal assistant, her nanny, her grandson, or Barbara Boncompagni, the daughter of Gianni, Raffaella’s first great love. The film features Rosario Fiorello, Tiziano Ferro, Enzo Paolo Turchi, and Bob Sinclair along with others.
