Devine Pastabilities, located at 3545 Midway Dr., Ste. E, in San Diego, Calif., becomes the next Food Network television celebrity with a show dedicated to its regional favorite, the Torpasta. Appearing on "Mystery Diners" at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, the restaurant has had to keep details of the episode under wraps. However owner Damien Devine, who has already successfully battled one fast food chain over the rights to his signature sandwich, now fears someone from within his organization is trying to steal his culinary creation.
Devine Pastabilities, home to the Torpasta, is quite possibly the most unique Italian concept in Southern California. Starting with a 12" Italian roll, cut in half with a hollowed out middle, it's then stuffed with the restaurant's favorite pasta dishes, all done with fresh ingredients and homemade sauces.
