If "The Godfather" is at the top of your favorite movie list, HBO has an offer you can't refuse. "The Godfather Epic" is a seven-and-a-half version of Francis Ford Coppola's films about the Italian-American Corleone family's rise in organized crime based on Mario Puzo's best seller. It cuts together "The Godfather" and "The Godfather Part II" chronologically. Not only that, but footage has been added that was left out in theatrical screenings.
Aside from introducing back stories, plot lines and character development, it will provide an opportunity to be on the lookout for more Staten Island locations. "The Godfather Epic" is currently available on HBO Now, will air again on Jan. 23, and is available On Demand until Jan. 28.
