The US sees Italy as a destination for its products, but direct investments are faltering, according to a Policy Paper from the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy (Amcham), EY and law firm Legance Avvocati Associati that will be presented in Rome this morning at an event attended by Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan.
The goal of the study was to analyze Italy's position with respect to investment flows from the US. The size of trade — worth more than $60 billion in 2016 (over €50 billion, up 19% from the year before) — makes the US Italy's third largest trading partner, and Italy the tenth largest partner for the US.
