Officials in Spartanburg County say an Italian manufacturer of high-end adhesives and sealants plans to create 150 new jobs and invest $66 million in the area. The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reports (http://bit.ly/1Fdtfr7) the county council has approved the third and final reading of an economic incentives agreement which allows the company to move forward with its project on Highway 290.
The new company will locate near the new Toray plant being developed in Moore. Spartanburg County Councilman David Britt said the name of the company will not be released until it closes on the property. Britt said the company is not Apollo Adhesives Solutions based in the United Kingdom, Apollo 17 LLC, the company operating at the site, is a subsidiary of the Italian adhesive and sealant company.
