La Mesa’s Aromi Italian Cuisine Restaurant has expanded its operations to include Pizza by Aromi, a pizzeria located next door to Aromi. The pizzeria serves amazing Sicilian pizzas. Co-owner Marco Lanza, emigrated from Sicily in 2018, received his green card and started working in restaurants. He met his co-owners Andrea Carbonaro and Francesco Mancino, and they decided to open their own restaurant.
“It took us about a year to get Pizza by Aromi up and running. It was a salon before and required a full rebuild to accommodate this gorgeous pizza oven that we imported from Italy. Most of our ingredients are imported from Italy. San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Buffalo Mozzarella and Salami from Calabria,” Lanza said.
