There will be a special group of wine professionals and wine lovers gathered at Toscana Divino at Mary Brickell Village (Downtown Miami) beginning October 26, 2013. This group will be swirling, sniffing, sipping, and spitting as part of a hands-on approach to learning all that can be known about Italian wine: the regions, terroir, how to taste, Italian legislation, as well as a brief overview of cuisine and culture. All wine regions, from north down to south of the country, will be covered in 4 days.
Only a few spots are left. The course begins on October 26, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., continues on October 27th, November 9th and 10th, and concludes with an exam on November 23rd. The cost is $650.00 and bookings can be made at: http://www.nasommelier.com/courses/italian-wine-specialist/#miami or for information, call 305.244.8272. "Italy is an amusement park for wine geeks," lead instructor Diego Meraviglia explains to his students. Meraviglia, a Gold-Pin Sommelier, Master Taster, (ranked 5th by the WSA and named the 2013 World's Best Sommelier) and his staff will bring the Italian wine experience to life. All instructors expertly know the country, as Italian natives, and wine, as certified sommeliers.
