Transplants from up North have gained a little slice of home, and locals can now experience authentic New York dishes with the opening of Times Square Pizzeria and Italian Eatery in Lexington.

Owner Sal Vatore is also as authentic as it comes, since he was born and raised in Naples, Italy, lived in New York and has opened several different Italian restaurants in the area over the years. He and his family were the original owners of Elizabeth's Pizza in Lexington as well as Mama Mia's in Wallburg.
