Wynwood is not typically known for having cozy, albeit traditional, restaurants. But that could be changing with the now-open Jack's Home Cooking.
The brainchild of JP Parlavechio, who has been in the restaurant industry in South Florida for more than 20 years, alongside Alan Roth, it'll feature a menu based on "what your mother and grandmother" is known for making. Think Italian classics like chicken parmesan, shrimp scampi, calamari, eggplant rollatini, spaghetti meatballs, along with other non-Italian dishes like braised short ribs, grilled wild salmon, and seafood salad.
