End of summer is fast approaching, yet the beautiful landscape of the wine country and the warm weather around the San Francisco Bay Area don’t seem to suggest so. Sundays mean, for many, a glass of wine and a relaxing time with family and friends under the sunny skies of Sonoma County.
Festa Italiana, the event organized by Orsi Family Vineyards in the tiny city of Healdsburg on August 18th, turned into a great addition to this year’s summer calendar for many wine lovers. Rather than hopping from one winery to another, attendees joined the Orsi family at their location in Dry Creek Valley for a one-of-kind event: learn about winemaking, sip Italian grape varieties grown in California, and meet artisan producers, often undiscovered beyond the area.
