Italian Tradition Endures At White Plains, Dobbs Ferry Eateries

A trio of Westchester County "family-run" Italian restaurants, Sam's in Dobbs Ferry, and Francesco's and La Manda's, both in White Plains, are featured in an article in The New York Times.

Sam's was opened for business in 1952 by Sam Ciancio, who is from Calabria, Italy, and grew up on Main Street, where the restaurant is located after coming to the United States at age 9, reported The New York Times.
