A total of 418 sailors from 70 countries competed in the 2024 Youth Sailing World Championships, held July 15-19 in Lake Garda, Italy. The host country retained their Nations Trophy, awarded to the best overall nation, by winning six of the 11 events
Maria Vittoria Arseni and Antonio Pascali led the way in men’s and women’s ILCA 6, as did Carola Colasanto and Federico Pilloni in iQFOiL for two Italian clean sweeps. Italy also claimed wins in the Male/Mixed 420 and the Mixed Nacra 15.
