The gypsy might have settled down, but after 12 years in Bethel, La Zingara Ristorante still has an adventurous spirit. Before she was a restaurateur, executive chef and owner Lisa Tassone was known to her family as La Zingara because she loved to travel.
Family background — mother born in the northwestern Piedmonte and father born in Calabria on the toe of the boot — brought together North and South, and Tassone's travels filled in the rest. La Zingara Ristorante creates contemporary regional Italian cuisine.
