Ron LaRocque recently opened Sisti Gallery North to honor his grandfather, an artist who founded the Allentown Art Festival about six decades ago. To house his gallery, LaRoque built a mini plaza at 6535 Campbell Boulevard, about 10 houses from where he lives. Dulce Salon is a tenant and another space is available, if and when the "right" prospective tenant comes along, according to LaRoque.
“We’ve had a lot of interest, but we’re sort of fussy about who goes in that second spot,” he said. “We’re looking for maybe a bakery/coffee shop type thing. Or maybe another artist. The plaza really is about the art gallery and the exhibits, LaRocque said; the commercial aspect is secondary.
