When they were kids, cousins Mike and Morris Salerno dreamed of opening their own Italian restaurant one day. In 1985, the duo achieved that dream when they opened Salerno’s Italian Restaurant in Flower Mound, which relocated to Highland Village last year.
“We had the vision together, and we did it,” Mike said. “In order to be successful, you have to have passion. We both had it, and we both knew what it was going to take to make it successful.” Mike said the family-owned eatery operates with one mission—to give customers respect, quality food, and friendly service. He added that at Salerno’s, customers get generous portions at low prices.
