Former Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi, more than any other candidate in the Democratic or Republican primary races for the 3rd Congressional District, is receiving endorsements from Queens elected leaders.
"I'm proud to endorse Tom Suozzi for Congress because as a first-generation Italian American, Tom understands the plights of so many immigrants who come to this country in pursuit of the American Dream," Assemblyman Ron Kim (D-Flushing) said in a statement to the Chronicle. "I know he will fight hard to unite all communities, not divide us, and work through the gridlock in DC to deliver results." Along with former city Comptroller John Liu, Kim appeared with Suozzi at an event last Thursday to announce his endorsement.
