The new report on women’s entrepreneurship in Italy offers a vibrant snapshot of a business landscape in motion – and a reminder that more progress is possible. As of 2025, female-led companies number about 1.3 million and represent roughly 22% of all enterprises in the country.
These women-owned businesses are not just maintaining operations; they are driving innovation, generating jobs and strengthening local communities. Presented in early November in Rome, the study examined multiple dimensions of female entrepreneurship – from legal structure and sector of activity, to founder age, geographic distribution and growth trends.
