The value of the “Italy” brand is estimated at about €2.077 trillion, a figure that captures the global weight of Italy’s cultural identity, lifestyle and creative excellence. Within this wide ecosystem, the food sector emerges as the most distinctive and influential element – the part of Made in Italy most immediately recognized and appreciated around the world.

Across all Made in Italy industries, revenues reached roughly €785 billion in 2024, with exports accounting for about €376 billion. More than 237,000 companies operate in sectors tied to the Italy brand, showing how broad and interconnected this economic network has become. Among them, food functions as a unifying symbol: pasta, wine, cheese, bread, sweets and extra-virgin olive oil form a collective heritage that represents Italy abroad with unmatched clarity.
