Trattoria Il Mulino inside the Hilton Downtown offers a serene modern space for fine dining; the transformation from sports bar to chic restaurant alone gives Nashvillians another reason to become tourists in their own city.
My review tells two sides: One that lives up to hype of the New York Italian dining establishment after which it is modeled — dark and cool, posh and pricy, with plush booth seating, flickering candlelight, an attentive well-trained staff, a relaxed pace, tableside wine pours, an enticing amuse-bouche, luxurious portions of pasta, seafood, chops.
