Called "the most thrilling art discovery of our time," the saga of Leonardo da Vinci's lost work, the Salvator Mundi, is an intriguing tale. The poignant oil painting, which depicts Christ making the sign of the blessing, was last recorded in the collection of King Charles I in 1649. And then it seemed to have vanished.

That is, until it was presented to Robert B. Simon, PhD, an art historian and specialist in old master works, after being identified hanging anonymously on a staircase in an American home.

Join us at our Annual Brunch on February 16, 2014 at the Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antiques Show in West Palm Beach, Florida, as Dr. Simon tells the story of the Salvator Mundi in his lecture, "Leonardo Lost & Found." The discovery is made even more significant because the work is one of only fifteen surviving works by da Vinci. Learn about how da Vinci's pentimento helped Dr. Simon correctly identify the work, which was ultimately included as part of an exhibit at the National Gallery in London in 2011.

This is an invitation-only event for members and special friends.
