REGISTER FOR THE AP ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE EXAMINATION AND PARTICIPATE IN THE DRAWING OF 28 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDY IN ITALY WITH EDUITALIA

On the occasion of the celebration of 2013 as the Year of the Italian Culture in the United States, Eduitalia, an Association of qualified Schools and Universities that offer courses for foreign students in Italy, through the Associated Institutes mentioned below, is pleased to support the initiatives of the Embassy of Italy in Washington for the promotion of Italian language in the United States, especially at the AP level, by providing 28 scolarships for study in Italy.

Scholarships granted by Eduitalia will be provided to selected students who take the 2013 AP Italian Language and Culture exam and will enable those recipients to enjoy Italy through an unforgettable learning experience.

ALL STUDENTS who will take the AP Italian Language and Culture exam are eligible to apply and participate. Winners of the following scholarships will be selected by a drawing organized by the Education Office of the Embassy of Italy in Washington:

1) – 14 full scholarships (that means free course, lodging, course supplies, and extra-curricular activities), divided as follows:

a) – 1 scholarship for 5 weeks

b) – 6 scholarships for 4 Weeks

c) – 7 scholarships for 3 Weeks

2) – 14 partial scholarships, with partial coverage of the costs for variable periods, up to 4 weeks.

PARTICIPATION RULES

Students who wish to participate in the drawing of a scholarship to Italy must:

complete the attached application form and declaration in their entirety to avoid exclusion;
Send the application form and the declaration by email no later than March 29, 2013 to the following addresses: [email protected] and [email protected]

A jury will examine the applications and will define the territorial distribution of the scholarships to be assigned to the students of:

United States;
Rest of the world.

The jury will then draw the names of the winners.

Winners, students on the wait-list, and the schools where they took the exams will be notified directly by April 30, 2013.

In order for students to accept the scholarship, they must provide proof of their intended participation in the exam.

Scholarships will be given to the winners during an award ceremony that will take place at the Embassy of Italy in Washington, connected via Skype with other consular-diplomatic offices, in the presence of his Excellency the Ambassador, or his Delegate, the Director of Eduitalia and other representatives of the world of culture.
