Thousands of people are expected to join the festivities, 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday, June 2 at Rose Tree Park in Media. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, the Italian Embassy in Washington, and the Consul General of Italy, represented in Philadelphia by the Consul General Luigi Scotto, have declared 2013 Anno Della Cultura Italiana Negli Stati Uniti (The Year of Italian Culture in the United States).
The Italian American Heritage Festival has welcomed increasing numbers of people (from 3000 in 2010 to 10,000 in 2012) who have grown to love and to look forward to spending a Sunday afternoon in June celebrating Italian-American culture. Italian authors, artists, sports figures, automobiles, food and entertainment are all part of the celebration. The 2013 festival will continue the tradition of free admission for all.
