A Salute to Italian American Veterans on the 75th Anniversary of the Veterans Monument at Arrigo Park (Chicago, IL) will take place Sunday, May 30, 2021. The Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans (JCCIA) along with the Italian American Veterans Museum, and the Italian American War Veterans, will honor four World War II Veterans as part of the Solemn Program of Remembrance.
Angelo DiLiberti, Angela Rinaldi, Carl Lituri, and Fred Randazzo will be celebrated and remembered for their profound service to the armed forces along with all Veterans during the Memorial Weekend event. The gathering begins with a Veterans Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Popmeii at 11:00 a.m. (please visit Our Lady of Pompeii site to make your Mass reservation) followed by a Solemn Program of Remembrance with a special blessing by Rev. Richard N. Fragomeni, Ph.D., Rector of the Shrine.
