Saturday afternoon (August 29th), I joined members of the Societá Gioventú Quagliettana in Astoria, Queens for the Feast of San Rocco. This year's celebration marked the Golden Anniversary of the society's beautiful statue, imported from Naples 50 years ago.
Joining the Quaglietta Society on their special day were Nicola Trombetta (President of the Federazione Delle Associazioni Della Campania USA), Joseph DiPietro (President of the Federation of Italian American Organizations of Queens) and representatives from the San Rocco Society of Potenza.
