A Sicilian-American Comedy is an episodic, fictional account of four generations of a Sicilian family: one part of which immigrates to America, while others stay behind. It is a tale of La Famiglia, filled with acts of sacrifice and sacrilege, love and malice, mystery and murder; there are even considerations of cannibalism and transubstantiation. Passions rage over the ravages of war and the stigma of cuckoldry and homosexuality, while the main protagonist struggles with insecurities over mediocrity and his myriad illusions about love, sexuality and happiness.

In the end, it is a story of bright and willful women who rebel against the rigid subsidiary role their men and traditional upbringing have allotted to them. Five mothers from four generations exhibit the wisdom, compassion and courage that not only holds La Famiglia together in bonds of love, but reminds us that we once had good reason to worship Goddesses as Supreme Beings. Though dark, this tale ends as a classic comedy with nuptials and high spirits, welcoming an uncertain future.
