To the wonderful community that supported the Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge #2225, we want to again thank everyone for coming out on that beautiful October Sunday last year and partaking in the delicious Italian food and desserts, local Italian heritage vendors, and Italian music that serenaded everyone throughout the day, making our 4th Annual Italian Festa a huge success!

Yes, it was very crowded, and that is good and bad at the same time. Good in that the local community became much more aware of the Annapolis Sons and Daughters of Italy and what our Lodge has to offer, but bad in that lines for food were very long and, at times, frustrating. We don’t think too many people turned away because of the crowds, but we heard some grumbling from those standing on line for quite some time. We listened to all the positive and negative feedback from the attendees last year and have made major changes to the layout for this year’s Festa, to be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018, from 10AM to 6PM, on the Lodge’s property at 620 Ridgely Avenue in Annapolis. 

To address the overcrowding, this year we have secured the use of our wonderful neighbor’s property and will be expanding our food and non-food vendors across all three sites. This should result in less crowding with the food vendors and give us the ability to control the lines of customers. To address parking, we will be providing golf cart shuttle service from the large medical parking lot to the right of the Lodge, easing much of the parking frustrations of last year.

We feel these changes will help the community have an even better experience in 2018 and we ask everyone to pass the word on social media that we will be back on September 30 and hope to see everyone there!
