Milanese artist Kikki Ghezzi’s works are on display at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador to the United States, Armando Varricchio. The exhibition was inaugurated yesterday, and it is part of the “Artists in Residence” series. Ambassador Varricchio launched this initiative in June 2016 to promote Italian talents in the Nation’s capital, by showcasing their works. Kikki Ghezzi is the fourth such artist to appear at "Villa Firenze". Prior to her, the beautiful Residence featured, with great success, works by Patrizio Travagli, Renato D'Agostin, and Anna Paola Pizzocaro.

The majestic cherry tree in Villa Firenze’s garden, together with a similar one in her beloved native Italy, inspired Kikki for her current exhibition at the Residence. The long cherry flowers-colored draperies hanging from the roof and on the walls bring together, in an ideal dialogue, the two trees whose roots are symbolically joined despite the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. Ghezzi’s works accompany viewers on a spiritual journey through two parallel, yet strongly connected, realities.
