In recent months, statues of Christopher Columbus have been torn down by mobs in cities like Baltimore and Richmond. Robert Royal, Catholic author and the President of the Faith & Reason Institute, will give a Catholic defense of Christopher Columbus during a lecture at the Basilica on Thursday, October 1, at 7:30 pm.
Royal is the author of Columbus and the Crisis of the West and 1492 and All That: Political Manipulations of History. He will sell and sign copies of Columbus and the Crisis of the West in our Lyceum Auditorium (313 Duke Street) after his lecture.
