Peter and Garrett Gintoli of Shelton were named captain and alternate captain of the United States national hockey team for this month’s Deaflympics in Chiavenna, Italy, the American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association announced.
The brothers are among 16 of the 23 American players with international experience. This will be the fifth international tournament for Peter, 27, who has played in the Southern Professional Hockey League, and the fourth for Garrett, 23, who is playing at Milwaukee School of Engineering.
