Today and tomorrow Italy will take center stage. Seven hundred and eighty monuments throughout the country that are usually closed will be opened to the public. This initiative, now in its 21st edition, is being promoted by FAI, the Italian Environment Fund, with the aim of revealing hidden treasures that perhaps one passes by every day without noticing. It is also a way to educate people about the beauty that surrounds them, about these exceptional monuments that - from the more famous to the lesser known - may be in need of attention so as not to lose their shine and to continue to amaze us.
That's why these Spring Days - the name given by FAI to the extraordinary opening of these monuments - are also an occasion to raise funds for cultural preservation. This one can do by sending an SMS or calling directly the number 45507. A donation can be made during the visit.
