Michelangelo's famed frescos from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City are on their way to downtown Green Bay. "Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition" is coming to the KI Convention Center, 333 Main St., Nov. 18 through Jan. 3, according to information posted on the touring event's website.
Visitors will have the chance to stand in awe of the 34 ceiling paintings brought to life through a special printing technique that emulates the look and feel of the originals as reproduced from licensed, high-definition photos. The extraordinary detail, including brush strokes and cracks in the plaster, will be visible in the near life-size masterpieces — an up-close vantage point not afforded to visitors who look up at them in Rome.
