“The Many Saints of Newark,” the “Sopranos” prequel movie, was originally supposed to debut in theaters this past September. Then the film was moved to March because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the production returned to the streets of New Jersey and New York for more filming. Now the movie is joining the rest of Warner Bros.’ 2021 slate on HBO Max.
Warner Bros. Pictures announced Thursday that it would be proceeding with a hybrid release model for next year, premiering films on HBO Max alongside their theatrical debut. The films will be available for a month on the streamer, after which they will only be in theaters.
