Innovation has always been central to the work of the Texas Medical Center. That spirit of transformation is now guiding the culinary direction of TMC's showplace dining spot – the restaurant at the top of the John P. McGovern Commons.
Known as Trevisio since 2002, the 13,500-square-foot restaurant/conference/catering space has a new name, a new look, and a dynamic new culinary outlook. The restaurant is now called Third Coast and executive chef Jon Buchanan has created an entirely new menu that reflects Houston's multi-ethnic population and international makeup. Calling it "Modern Houstonian," Buchanan's menu has Asian, Hispanic, Czech-German and Southern/Gulf Coast influences.
