The Wisconsin Badgers basketball program bolstered their frontcourt with the signing of 6-foot-10, 250-pound center Riccardo Greppi, head coach Greg Gard announced on Friday. Greppi, a promising talent from Italy, is set to join the Badgers for the 2024-25 season, in all likelihood, filling the void left by Andrija Vukovic, who has encountered some delays in getting to campus from overseas.
Greppi brings a wealth of experience from his time in the Italy-NextGen league, where he played for Verona. In eight appearances, Greppi averaged 9.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. His standout performances included a dominant 17-point, 12-rebound game in a victory over Brescia and a 17-rebound effort, along with eight points and two blocks, in a win against Virtus BO.
