Giorgio Moroder, world famous producer, songwriter, performer and DJ, pioneer of synth disco and electronic dance music, and a three time Oscar winner, is the spokesman for this year's Week of the Italian Language. This year's theme is Italian in Music, the Music of Italian. On the occasion of the week-long celebration the IIC will present him with the IIC Lifetime Achievement Award, established to recognize Italian excellence in the world.
