On the night of July 25, 1956, the Italian passenger liner Andrea Doria was broadsided by the Stockholm near Nantucket Island. Pierette, who survived the catastrophic Andrea Doria-Stockholm collision as a 9-year-old immigrating to America with her grandparents, has uncovered a cold case that vindicates Captain Piero Calamai of the Italian luxury liner. Pierette's personal narration comes alive through vignettes of her departure to the New World, survival at sea, and her arrival to the New World in pursuit of the "American Dream." The Andrea Doria's epic glory and demise are portrayed by impactful archival material and rare dive footage.

After the screening, enjoy a Q&A panel discussion with international Andrea Doria experts: Luca Guardabascio (Director), John Moyer (Deep sea diver and shipwreck salvager), Pierette Dominica Simpson (Producer, author, and Andrea Doria survivor). Also featured at the program is a one-day only display of objects salvaged from the Andrea Doria from the personal collection of John Moyer.
