While there’s no substitute for the old-world charm of summering in Italy, Pittsburg’s upcoming Festa Italia could be a close second. The event on the weekend of June 24 in John Buckley Square promises to be “a cultural journey filled with authentic Italian food, music, art and tradition,” according to its website.
The weekend-long party will include a bocce ball tournament and a spaghetti eating contest in addition to a lineup of entertainment featuring musical acts such as Louis Prima Jr. as well as comedians such as Mike Marino.
