After landing a commitment from Francesco Badocchi just two weeks ago, the Virginia Cavaliers signed the Italian prospect (by way of Kansas) to a national letter of intent. Virginia beat out Illinois for the fast-rising prospect, who was also drawing significant interest from the Kansas Jayhawks.
“We are pleased to add Francesco to our 2017 recruiting class,” head coach Tony Bennett said in a statement. “Francesco is a talented forward with good length and athleticism. He and his family value education, and I know Francesco’s excited about playing at UVA and competing in the ACC.”
