Within the framework of the first Day of Italian Sport in the World promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Embassy of Italy in Washington and the network of Italian Consulates in the United States will launch a series of initiatives throughout the United States with the aim of promoting Italian sport and its values.

In this context, the Embassy of Italy in Washington intends to promote a number of initiatives dedicated to cycling and our country's cycling tradition. A group of about 40 diplomats and embassy officials and representatives of the Italian community in Washington brought the tricolour to the streets by participating in the eighth edition of the 'DC Bike Ride', an important Washingtonian sporting event.
