Claudie Minor was quite a football player. He helped the Denver Broncos make it to the 1977 Super Bowl. And he helped Bernie Carducci make it to IU Southeast. One of best ambassadors of IUS used to be one of the worst linemen in community-college ball. Before Carducci turned to teaching psychology he turned from dreams of pigskin glory. Carducci credits Minor for that, for all those times in practice Minor smashed Carducci's ambitions, along with the rest of him. "I want to tell him 'thank you,'" Carducci said.
"'You changed the course of my life.'"That change wound up changing IUS like little else has. With his natty attire, honking cigars and willingness to teach most any and every psych course, Bernardo J. Carducci arrived 38 years ago at a college known primarily for being handy and affordable.
