On Thursday, February 13, the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame (NIASHF) presented the 5th Rocky Marciano Amateur Boxing Tournament. A sold-out crowd packed the Grand Piazza at the NIASHF for a great evening of fights and two award presentations honoring champion supporters Enrico Mirabelli and Mayor Ronald Serpico.
Wayne Randazzo and Steve Corbo co-hosted the event as masters of ceremonies. Former and future Olympians, World Champions, and boxing heroes – Luke Capuano, John Collins, David Diaz, Rocky DiFazio, Mike Garcia, Montell Griffin, Nate Jones, Danell Nicholson, and Joey Ryan all attended the sold out charitable event in Chicago's historic Little Italy. Also in attendance was Illinois Secretary of State, Jesse White.
