Matt Costello and his wife have talked about settling down and starting a family. But, for now, home is where the hoop is. After winning Mr. Basketball at Bay City Western in 2012 and helping Michigan State University reach the Final Four in 2015, basketball is now Costello's job. And his work has taken him across the country and around the globe.
"There isn't much stability in it," he said. "Wherever you are, you have to make it your home for the time you're there. "But this is an opportunity for me, and I've got to take this shot." For the next two weeks, the Costellos are setting up residence in Las Vegas after Matt signed with the Detroit Pistons for the NBA Summer League. He'll compete alongside NBA players, NBA newcomers and NBA hopefuls in the league's showcase event July 5-15.
