For the second consecutive year, Ballet in Cleveland will offer private-label, dance-themed wines in conjunction with Firelands Winery of Sandusky. The wines are from Firelands' Italian collection - Vermentino, a white wine, and Cannonau, a red also known as Garnache. Both are commonly grown in the island of Sardinia off Italy's mainland.
"We're back for another round," said Jessica Wallis, founding director of Ballet in Cleveland, about the all-Ohio pas de deux between wine and ballet. Appropriately, Wallis came up with Italian names for Italian grapes.
