The Italian Film Festival in St Louis this year will bring you on a cinematic and culinary tour of Italy. The festival begins April 6th and lasts for four weekends ending on April 28th. This is the fourteenth edition of the festival, and this year, being the "The Year of Italian Food", as announced by the Italian Ministries of Culture and Agriculture, there will be a celebration of films dedicated to the gastronomic traditions of Italy.

Two films in particular are worth mentioning. One is the documentary Cucinì which is about the culinary legacy of Napoli through the lens of five Neapolitan chefs. The other the film, Finché c'è prosecco c'è speranza, is a mystery which takes place in the rolling hills of the Veneto region in north-eastern Italy, near the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, where the famous Prosecco grapes are grown.

Director Antonio Padovan and co-producer Alessia Gatti will be in St Louis to introduce this film on April 27th at the Meramec Theatre at St Louis Community College. La Comunita' degli Italiani - St Louis is proud to be the film sponsor of this special feature and welcomes Antonio Padovan and Alessia Gatti. We are honored to have you in St Louis.

La Comunita' degli Italiani - St Louis also thanks Cavaliere Barbara Klein, the President of the Italian Film Festival USA, and member of our community who has contributed to the promotion of the Italian language in countless and immeasurable ways.

All the films are shown in Italian but also have English subtitles. The films are also free and open to the public. For more information on the Italian films being shown in St Louis, please see the following link: https://www.facebook.com/italianiSTL/
