The Pinta was the ship that was used for Christopher Columbus voyage to the America’s back in the 1400s. It was one out of three ships in Columbus’ fleet. According to captain Stephen Sanger, the ship was built in Brazil by eighth generation Portuguese shipwrights.
The ship is open to guided and self-guided tours, where they explain what the ship was used for and what life on a ship would have been like in the 15th Century. The ship also contains tools that would have been used at the time.
