Join the Italian Community of St Louis (Comunita' degli Italiani - St Louis) this is Friday, April 26th at 8PM and experience Italian music of the Renaissance performed by the Schola Antiqua Chicago at the majestic Cathedral Basilica of St Louis, 4431 Lindell Boulevard 63108, St. Louis, MO. Musical excerpts will be taken from women composers: Raffaella Aleotti, Caterina Assandra, Alba Tressina, Lucrezia Vizzana, and Sulpitia Cesis. These women religious wrote numerous motets and works of music in the monasteries of MODENA, FERRARA, BOLOGNA, ROME, and VENICE.
