Comic actor Stoneham native and Emerson alum Mario Cantone is coming home June 24 for a performance at The Cabot theater in Beverly, capping off his time at New York’s famed Cafe Carlyle.“It’s going to be crazy between family and friends,” Cantone told the Track. “I’m going to be torn in so many different ways! Torn apart! Ripped at the seams! I won’t know which direction or who to greet first! What should I do?!”
Cantone, whose one-man show “Laugh Whore” was nominated for a Tony, has also starred on Broadway in two Tony-winning productions: “Assassins” and “Love! Valor! Compassion!” On the big screen, Cantone has been in Robert Redford’s “Quiz Show” and the animated film “Surf’s Up.” He’s most recognizable from his recurring role as Anthony Marentino in the HBO hit “Sex and the City.”
