Tenor and Italian crossover singer Michéal Castaldo will perform in a special Italian Christmas concert entitled "Natale nel Cuore" or "Italian in Your Heart" starting at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 15 at the Mattatuck Museum, 144 W Main St. Waterbury native soprano Marissa Famiglietti will appear on stage with Mr. Castaldo, and will be featured in two solos. The host for the afternoon show is Jim Masters of WTNH-TV Channel 8, CPTV and PBS.
"Natale nel Cuore" will feature songs from Mr. Castaldo's Christmas album "Extravergine." His vocal power is able to convey subtle nuances as he is singing in English or Italian. Mr. Castaldo was born in Calabria, was raised within the Italian population of Toronto and currently resides in New York City.
