Joe Castiglione, who has been a Boston Red Sox radio broadcaster for four decades, was enshrined in the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York, during a ceremony on Saturday. Castiglione was honored with the 2024 Ford C. Frick Award, which is presented annually by the Hall of Fame for excellence in baseball broadcasting.
Castiglione's family watched from the audience as he was presented with the Ford Frick Award, soaking in every ounce of joy and pleasure. Castiglione was be presented with a calligraphy of the award and will from this point forward be recognized in the "Scribes & Mikemen" exhibit in the Library of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
