Red-shirt freshman Luke Napolitano went 4-5 with a triple and seven RBIs to help Hofstra win game two of a doubleheader, 14-5, over La Salle Monday afternoon at Hank DeVincent Field. The Pride lost game one, 6-5. Hofstra moved to 4-2 on the season with the split. La Salle dropped to 1-3.
Napolitano, a transfer from the University of Kansas, ripped a three-run triple in the top of the second inning as the Pride jumped out to a 5-0 lead. After La Salle cut the deficit to two, 5-3, in the third inning, Napolitano keyed a four-run inning with a one-out single. He would later come around to score on a bases-loaded hit batter.
